Job Summary

The District Safety Trainer performs a wide range of activities related to safety training program administration and is responsible for leading the implementation of all thing's safety. Also, assist the branch on safety matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivers and facilitates structured training and development programs and initiatives in support of the company’s operations training plan
• Updates and provides training materials to managers and/or employees
• Supervises and manages personnel performing administrative duties to track completion of training, scheduling of classes and resources, compile and prepare statistical information on training program status.
• Ensure OSHA standards and processes are embedded into the training plans wherever possible.
• Maintain technical excellence levels for all OSHA and manufacture’s training material. • Makes sales calls with Sales Representatives to identify customer training needs
• Promotes training services to customers and work with them to facilitate training needs
• Coordinate equipment for hands-on demonstrations and evaluations as needed
• Utilizes Salesforce to record all sales activities, scheduling, and customer interactions
• Provides weekly and monthly updates using the designated software for various metrics
• Conducts product demonstrations and familiarization training for customer
• Attends train-the trainer courses, conferences, and seminars as determined by the Director of Safety and Training requiring periodic travel.
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Emotional intelligence, collaboration and advanced presentation skills
• Quick learner, attention to detail, and adaptability skills
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Creative with learning/training concepts and principles with a knowledge of adult learning • General knowledge of the OSHA and applicable state and local requirements relative to Trench and Excavation Shoring and Shielding.
• Proficient knowledge of all operational processes; including shop, yard, and deliveries/pickups
• Ability to travel up to 70% within designated region

Qualifications

1. Associate degree required, bachelor's in business or related field preferred
2. Minimum (3) three years' experience performing safety training or equipment safety operator training
3. Professional Safety Certification (CHST, ASP, CSP) preferred. (Must obtain certifications in line with development plant)
4. Must have a valid driver’s license.
