JOB SUMMARY The Director of Patient Experience designs, develops and oversees implementation of organizational strategic initiatives that instill a culture of patient centered services that will provide an excellent patient/family experience and drive patient/family satisfaction at Saint Francis Healthcare System. The Director of Patient Experience is responsible for planning, organizing, analyzing, coordinating, preparing, managing, and evaluating administrative and operational activities of patient satisfaction and related projects of service excellence programs throughout the ministry. It is expected that the Director will focus on improving processes and outcomes, comply with hospital and corporate policy and procedures, efficiently manage finances and resources, promote teamwork and customer satisfaction, and integrate service into the organization's overall plan for the delivery of care. The Director of Patient Experience drives strategic planning related to service and patient experience, to ensure colleagues, volunteers, and providers are on board with service standards. The Director of Patient Experience works closely with key stakeholders to develop service training and education programs in addition to manages, interprets, tracks and reports service data results, as well as assess and present recommendations for increased success.
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS Education:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or related field- required
- Master's degree in business or healthcare administration- strongly preferred
License/Certification:
- Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) obtained within 2 years of hire- required
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive healthcare management or equivalent experience with demonstrated leadership skills, including quality improvement, financial acumen, data analysis and customer relations experience/skills- required
- Must have working knowledge of patient satisfaction survey's structure, data and related performance improvement initiatives.
- Must possess excellent skills in the following areas: Customer service, Conflict resolution, Verbal, written and organizational communication, Critical thinking, Ability to work with minimal supervision, Coaching all levels of employees, Staff training, Data analysis and interpretation.
