Job Summary The Director of Emergency Operations and Public Information plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students, staff, and the community within the Coachella Valley Unified School District (CVUSD). This position oversees emergency preparedness, response protocols, and serves as the primary point of contact for public information during crises and everyday operations.

1. Experience:
•School Administrator for a minimum of 5 years with experience in emergency management, crisis communication, public relations, in an educational or governmental setting.
•Strong understanding of emergency response protocols, incident command system (ICS), and National Incident Management System (NIMS).
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely during high-stress situations.
•Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience managing teams and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
•Proficiency in using communication technologies and social media platforms for crisis/emergency communication purposes.
2. Education/Credential:
•Administrative Credential from a recognized college or university.
