Job Type: Full-Time 

Pay Rate: $24 - $30 Per Hour

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,000 - $1,200

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday - 07:00 am - 03:00 pm

  Overview:  

Join our team as a diesel tech 2, for Carvana in Heath, OH

Key Responsibilities:  

• Diagnose (using diagnostic equipment) and perform general preventative maintenance and DVIR for all heavy equipment
• Perform scheduled repairs and resolve issues uncovered during inspection
• Changing brakes, Adjusting steering systems, replacing parts, fixing complex electrical issues, changing hydraulic components, changing tires according to TIA guidelines
• Use welders, torches and plasma cutters to weld or fabricate broken parts
• Maintain accurate and proper records for all repairs performed on our fleet using our software
• Use diagnostic equipment to pull fault codes and follow OEM diagnose trees to accurately diagnose equipment

Requirements:  

• 1+ year experience with class 8
• Must have a Valid Driver's License
• Must have your own tools to complete daily tasks, specialty tools will be provided by Carvana
• Types of tools required: Sockets, wrenches, screw drivers
• OUTDOOR Shop
• Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping/pushing and/or pulling in an environment that be cold, hot, noisy & wet & may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
• Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet
• Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively and in a professional courteous manner
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and oral
