Legal Graphicworks is hiring a certified Digital Court Reporter who is ready to be a team player! This position is responsible for capturing live legal proceedings using various recording technologies and annotations in-person in the Miami, Florida area. This is a great position for the employee who is interested to learn and grow their career with a great company.

Legal Graphicworks provides animations, graphics, courtroom technology, videography and court reporting services to attorneys nationally.

Digital Court Reporter

Experience and Responsibilities:
● Attend legal proceedings and capture the record by way of digital recording software
● Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and impartiality during legal proceedings as well as handling of sensitive documents and transcripts
● Manage digital recording equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain job files efficiently
● Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing schedules and deadlines that often require a high level of attention to detail and focus
● Provide an exceptional white glove experience to our clients
● Collaborate professionally with attorneys, legal professionals, and court personnel to ensure needs are met
● Create and review transcripts to ensure accuracy and adherence to established standards
● Set up, operate, and record video proceedings using state of the art recording equipment
● Ability to assist other department teams when needed
● Ability to work 40 hour work weeks with occasional early or late shifts

Requirements and Skills:
● An active Certified Electronic Reporter (CER) certification from AAERT is required
● Possess or be eligible to obtain a Florida Notary Commission
● Proven work experience as a Certified Digital Reporter
● Proficiency in operating digital recording equipment
● Strong working knowledge of legal terminology and various types of legal proceedings
● Professional attitude
● Solid written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
● Excellent organizational skills, multitasking, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
● Reliable transportation in order to travel to onsite job locations
● Proficiency in legal transcription and proofreading preferred
● Proficiency in legal videography preferred
