Shared Services: Risk Management- (Full-Time, Day Shift) -
Job Summary: The Coordinator-Radiation Safety provides support and coordination of radiation safety activities. Is responsibility for coordinating office communications with other departments, regulatory agencies and vendors; provides support services related to program audits, instrument calibration and committee activities; provides organization and coordination for the facility-wide personnel dosimetry program. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: High school Diploma or GED required. Minimum one year of post high school education preferred. Minimum three years experience in general office procedures required. Minimum one year experience in radiation-related field preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Able to write legibly, use computer, typewriter, and software programs necessary to the position. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrates positive relations in dealing with administrators, physicians, department directors, patients (and their families), and fellow employees. Demonstrates professional demeanor and positive attitude, and displays good judgment in assessing situations. Maintains confidentiality of information at all times. Demonstrate excellent oral/writing and listening skills; work as a team player. Ability to persuade others to cooperate or follow a specific course of action; be consistent in following and/or promoting policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, direct, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to do business-related mathematical calculations. Able to distinguish colors as necessary, hear, read, write, and speak in a professional manner; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with workplace; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position.
