About the Company - Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager. This Construction Manager will work at the client's facility in Buffalo, NY, overseeing all activities in the field and will report to the Manager of Construction Services and the Client assigned representative. The primary objective of this position is the day-to-day management of the on-site construction and safety effort. By establishing and maintaining a relationship with the Client through the competent and professional execution of duties, the Construction Manager will play a key role in business development, working to acquire additional business from the end Client.
About the Role - The following duties are typical of the position but are not intended to be all-inclusive. Every employee is expected to assist in whatever duties are required for us to be successful.
Qualifications - Minimum ten (10) years of experience in the construction industry in industrial or manufacturing environments. OHSA 30 hour. Knowledge of new/existing manufacturing, substation(s), food, chemical/bioprocessing plant procedures. Knowledge in electrical, structural, mechanical engineering procedures. Experience in large demolition and renovation projects. Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. You are required to have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and must be insurable under our insurance carrier. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong organization and planning skills. Time management skills. Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship. This position requires a working knowledge of appropriate codes and standards. This position requires an ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
Physical Requirements - The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation. Client facilities require site visits to gather project information, require being onsite. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. May be required to lift 25 or greater lbs assisted. Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.
