Brayman Precast is seeking a Full time Concrete Finisher for our location in Saxonburg, PA

POSITION DESCIPTION:

As a Concrete Finisher, you will work on various industrial, commercial, institutional and related projects that supply the construction field. This position is part of our finishing crew which performs all phases of concrete production, placement and finishing.

The schedule is 10:00am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday in a climate controlled environment.

• Performs daily preparation and maintenance of equipment and hand tools.
• Operates overhead cranes and pneumatic equipment to transport and place fresh concrete.
• Uses electric vibrators to consolidate concrete.
• Uses a variety of tools, such as straight-edges, floats, rakes, shovels, trowels, and brooms to apply required finishes to fresh concrete.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of formal apprenticeship or directly related experience, preferred.
• Experience with batching, placing, finishing concrete, and operating overhead crane preferred.
• Thorough understanding of the characteristics of concrete.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to create, lay and use concrete forms.
• Understanding of and ability to use tools related to concrete.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee and Team Members without proper safety precautions. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. Team Members will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies due to these safety risks.
