Fully Remote Senior Litigation Defense Attorney – Trucking & General Liability

Must Reside in Texas | Fully Remote or Hybrid (Austin)

I am directly recruiting for a Texas-based civil litigation firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Defense Attorney to join a high-performing team with a busy docket of cases ready for your to work on. If you are a mid-level to seasoned litigator ready for true autonomy, this is a role where your litigation and trial skills will be valued, and your growth supported.

This opportunity is fully remote for attorneys based anywhere in Texas, or you can work in the office or be hybrid if you live in Austin. You'll handle complex, high-exposure cases in areas such as trucking and transportation defense, general liability, premises liability, auto accidents, and products liability.

The firm provides Apple Mac laptops to attorneys, and they use Clio for calendaring and billing, Dropbox for files, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and Microsoft Office (Mac version 16).

The hourly billing requirement is 1800 hours yearly , but you can work whatever hours you choose if the work is done, and deadlines are met. They offer a discretionary end of year bonus based on performance, tenure, work product, and work ethic.

The firm encourages client development and will help with expenses. They do not guard their clients and encourage client contact. The firm has more of a relaxed and informal management style. They prefer to hire an attorney with trial experience as they typically go to trial up to 2 times yearly. However, most cases settle.

What You'll Do:

• Manage a diverse caseload from inception through trial, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and hearings.
• Serve as lead counsel in significant litigation matters if you're a confident, experienced attorney.
• Grow your trial skills and professional presence through direct client contact and court appearances.
• Work in a supportive, team-oriented environment with meaningful mentorship or leadership opportunities.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary $145K to $185K (DOE- depending on experience and qualifications), yearly bonus, and benefits package.
• 100% employer-paid health and dental insurance .

• Performance-based bonuses for both productivity and overall contributions.
• Paid Bar dues
• $1500 towards CLE’s , but will discuss if other training is needed within reason.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar .
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience , preferably in trucking, personal injury defense, or general liability.
• Litigation trial preparation and courtroom experience.
• Located in Texas and able to work fully remote.
• Strong writing, client communication, and case management skills.
• Comfortable with or eager to grow into a lead role on files and in court .
