About the team

The IMCS cloud security team operates within Managed Cloud Services and overseas managed cloud security services. The Team operates 24/7 to provide support to customers in different time zones around the world. The Team is responsible for ensuring the security of cloud infrastructure and services provided to customers. The team is committed to continuous improvement, regularly reviewing, and updating security policies and implementing best security practices to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

About the role:

The Azure Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of Azure cloud environments. They will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to design and implement secure cloud solutions.

As a CLoud Security Engineer III

  • Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud security solutions, including Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure AD, and other relevant tools.
  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans on Azure cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain security policies and standards for Azure cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure that security is integrated into the software development lifecycle.
  • Monitor Azure cloud environments for security incidents and respond to security alerts in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and analyse security logs and alerts to identify security threats and vulnerabilities and develop and implement remediation plans.
  • Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Work with security teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to other teams on security best practices and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with the latest security trends and technologies in Azure cloud environments.

What we are looking for in a Cloud Security Engineer III

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud security, specifically in Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure AD.
  • Experience with security assessments and vulnerability scans.
  • Experience with security policy development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of networking and network security principles.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualification/Certification/Experience:

  • 5+yrs of experience
  • Relevant certifications, such as the Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or any other cloud security certificate
