FORT WORTH– Civitas Senior Living, an innovative senior living management company based in Fort Worth announced the promotion of Misti Powell to Chief People Officer Monday. Powell is a co-founder of the company and previously served as its Senior VP of Operations.

Powell’s primary directive as Chief People Officer will be to act as the guardian of Civitas’ company culture. She will also continue her oversight of employee training, activities, overall resident experience, memory care training and application, and implementation of the company’s signature Passion Program.

The Chief People Officer is a new position created as a part of the company’s ongoing focus on a positive, people-centered company culture. In the fast-growing senior living industry, the increasingly competitive labor market is a critical stability and safety issue for up-and-coming companies like Civitas Senior Living.

She was also integral in developing the Civitas’ signature Passion Program with the core corporate management team.
