About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer, External Affairs to join their executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be a business-oriented physician leader with a strong background in critical care medicine or a related specialty, and a minimum of five years of clinical experience. As the face of physician leadership, the CMOEA will be responsible for developing and enhancing relationships with key stakeholders, including partner organizations, and will lead the organization in maintaining its industry-leading position. This role requires a compassionate individual, driven by a desire for excellence, and possessing the political savvy and sensitivity necessary to support the company's mission. The CMOEA will also oversee laboratory services and must be highly collaborative, adaptive, and display a track record of change leadership. Candidates for the Chief Medical Officer, External Affairs position at the company must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, current board certification in a related specialty, and strong business acumen. An M.B.A. or M.H.A. degree is a plus. The role is pivotal in the company's mission to support donor families, transplant patients, and to facilitate safe and reliable donations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, dedicated to process excellence, stewardship, and innovation, with a relentless drive to ensure the availability of organs and tissues for those in need. Responsibilities also include ensuring quality, expanding the organization's impact, and overseeing laboratory services.
