About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead a pivotal role in the organization's history. The CMO will be the principal strategist and steward for the organization's brand, marketing, communications, and creative content, spearheading a transformation in these areas to align with the company's mission and goals. This executive will be a key player in driving awareness and support for the company's mission, programs, and engagement strategies, with a strong focus on racial equity, justice, and shared prosperity. The successful candidate will be a seasoned marketing and communications leader with a proven track record of success in a mission-driven or professional services environment, and will be responsible for setting and achieving measurable marketing and communications goals. As a member of the senior leadership team, the CMO will also be expected to lead change initiatives, optimize operations, and ensure that the company's offerings and strategies support its unique value proposition within the philanthropic ecosystem. The ideal CMO for the company will be a transformational leader with a passion for the company's mission, adept at building relationships, and driving innovation. They should have a minimum of 10-15 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit, public, or philanthropic sector, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with an advanced degree desired. The role demands an inspirational communicator, a strategic thinker, and a hands-on leader with a strong background in brand management, digital marketing, and storytelling. Proficiency in marketing technology systems and tools is essential, as is a proven ability to manage financial resources and devise strategies for revenue generation. The CMO will also be expected to have a deep understanding of community needs, particularly in the greater Seattle region, and a track record in explicit racial equity and systems change work. The position requires a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to lead a team that promotes inclusion and professional growth.
