About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take on a remote, contract role. The CFO will be a key figure in the organization, responsible for directing all financial activities, including reporting, planning, supervision, and investments. This senior leader will work closely with the Executive Team to develop and implement successful growth strategies, guide the financial area toward expansion, and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The role also involves overseeing the preparation and filing of financial statements, business activity reports, and annual budgets, as well as supervising a team of employees in various financial functions. The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company is a dynamic and innovative individual with a proven track record in a similar role, particularly within a banking environment. A Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting is required, with a Master's degree and CPA designation preferred. The candidate must have at least 7 years' related experience, including a minimum of 5 years' with a bank of at least $5B in assets. Proficiency in PC software, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential. The CFO will also be expected to have the ability to work well under pressure, set priorities, meet deadlines, and resolve complex financial problems.
