Job Summary :
The CASAC Counselor is responsible for providing counseling, support, and intervention to individuals dealing with substance use and addiction. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating group and individual counseling sessions, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support clients in their recovery journey. The ideal candidate is a compassionate professional with a deep understanding of substance use disorders and the ability to provide support in a non-judgmental, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct intake assessments to determine clients’ needs, history, and challenges.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on client goals and progress.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions to provide education and support for recovery.
• Provide crisis intervention, relapse prevention, and harm reduction counseling as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, medical professionals, and community partners, to provide holistic care.
• Conduct educational workshops on substance abuse, coping strategies, and related topics.
• Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary.
• Remain informed about current trends, research, and best practices in substance use treatment and recovery.

Qualifications :

• Active CASAC certification required
• 1+ years of experience in substance abuse counseling or related field.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and provide culturally competent care.
