Job Overview:

Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is looking for a highly motivated, analytically minded professional to join its Center of Excellence (COE) Category Management team. This individual will help shape the future of our space analytics. 

The Category Manager plays a valuable role by assisting in providing strategic, consultative category guidance to deliver market leading growth across Brands and Channels. This individual will conduct high quality analyses and synthesize multiple data sources to generate insights and actionable recommendations, while leveraging effective communication & influencing skills to orchestrate action within the HQ and Customer Facing teams. 

What you will do:  

  • Manage space management toolkit, processes, and request 
  • Provide shelving recommendations/guidance based on market analysis or sales data 
  • Develop line review content with customer teams. 
  • Conduct POG recommendations based on segmentation trends, performance, and strategies to drive sales 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret consumer, customer, industry, and sales data into actionable insights 
  • Partner with Customer Facing Teams to build primary relationships with the Customer 
  • Accurately maintain space database(s) with Category Management Team 
  • Expert in creating/maintaining standard JDA shelf/display psa templates. 
  • Ad hoc reporting/analysis as needed 
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert space management toolkit budget management 
  • Support internal account team with unbiased recommendations based on knowledge of the market, industry, consumer, and customer 
  • Multi-task between projects and reporting/analytics with ability to adjust priorities based on opportunities/needs  
  • Externally, establish KDP as the indispensable partner for all category management space analytic needs with our Customers.  
  • Internally, serve as the category management partner to cross-functional teams 
  • Deliver fully integrated consumer driven category leadership based on marketplace insights and trends to guide strategic choices and tactical executions. 
  • Thrive and Drive in a highly matrixed, fast paced & evolving organization  
  • Masterfully navigate stakeholders—up, across and down the organization 
  • Install and Improve space management tools & processes to enhance business effectiveness and efficiency 
  • Juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines, while fueling the business by adding on great ideas to deliver business results  

 

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $97,000 - $135,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility
Requirements:

What you must have:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • +7 years of business experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) with a focus on Category Management (mandatory), Space Planning business analytics and/or Shopper Insights 
  • People Skills & Drive: 
  • Experience coaching & developing people – peers and hire new talent. 
  • Superior drive for results with demonstrated ability to build indispensable, collaborative partnerships with the customer and internal business partners 
  • Communication, Story Telling & Project Management:  
  • Exceptional communication & story telling skills – verbal, written, presentation  
  • Superior Project Management Skills with impeccable detail orientation & follow-through 
  • Category Management Skills: 
  • Capability to develop and influence strategies and tactics at both retailers and manufacturers, vertically and horizontally 
  • Proven ability to use insights to build shelving guidance & actionable recommendations 
  • Tools:  
  • Extensive syndicated data knowledge with IRI and/or Nielsen 
  • Deep understanding of assortment optimization 
  • Proficient in JDA Space Planning software and Power Bi 
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PPT) 
  • Travel: up to 10%
