Job Description

Eston's Bakery in Toledo, OH is looking for experienced cake decorators to join our bakery production team immediately! Our production bakery is not at our retail store location. We have 2 separate facilities. One store for selling our products and another location that is strictly for production of all of our products. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable. You must have bakery and cake decorating experience. This position has the potential for advancement / growth.

Our production bakery, which is where this position would be used, is located at 4164 Monroe Street. Our bakery is open for production as of now, from approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. We do not work early morning or late evening hours and are not working Saturday or Sunday. This is a small, family owned business!

Responsibilities

• cake icing and basic decorating
• other production tasks including filling cakes, setting up cake pans, cutting cakes, topping cupcakes and any other production tasks
• also making colored icing, taking inventory, filling orders, etc.

Qualifications

• must be able to ice a cake using an icing bag/ icing tip
• must be able to smooth ice a cake
• must have bakery experience
• must have cake decorating experience in a bakery (not just a class and not at home only)
• must have food safe / cleanliness knowledge and experience
• must be able to perform all other production tasks including spreading filling on cake, wrapping cakes, cutting cakes, prepping cakes, topping cupcakes, cheesecakes, other items, etc.
• This is not just a cake decorating position -- so many more things to do
• This cake decorating position does not have individualized creativity in decorating.
• Wage will depend on skill level
