The Cabling Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various telecommunication, networking and surveillance cabling systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Installing cables, wires and other network components according to specification and industry standards. This may include copper cables, fiber optic cables, coaxial cables and associated hardware such as connectors, jacks and outlets.
• Conducting tests to ensure proper functioning of installed cables and networking equipment. Troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues, signal loss, or other problems that may arise during installation or maintenance.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, and repairing cables and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and resources.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

Licenses & Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Valid Auto Insurance
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED :

• Ability to lift 50 lbs., safely climb and balance on a ladder, and work in elevated/high locations.
• General knowledge of parts and tools necessary
• Critical-thinker, problem-solver
• Must hold state driver’s license
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to interface effectively with the guests and colleagues
• Ability to speak, read and write English

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment.? Must be able to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time, speak and hear, write, finger and feel, lift and carry up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) and occasionally more.? Employee frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and endure variable temperature conditions (extreme hot or cold).? Must be 21 years of age or older.
