Cabinet Maker

Currently hiring Cabinet Makers in the Rockdale, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Shift: 1st shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm. Monday - Friday.

• Must be open to working overtime while working on larger projects.

Job Description

• Operate various hand tools to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets and high-grade wood components.
• Apply laminate to cabinets and other wood surfaces.
• Operate woodworking machines such as routers, edge banders, jointers, table saws, and wall saws to cut, shape, and finish wood parts.
• Participate in job setup and sequencing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
• Mark outlines or dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock according to specifications.
• Match materials for color, grain, or texture.
• Bore holes for screws or dowels using hand or boring machines.
• Glue, fit, and clamp parts and subassemblies together to form complete units.
• Sand and scrape surfaces and joints to prepare articles for finishing.
• Apply protective or decorative materials such as stain, varnish, or paint.
• Install hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in cabinet making, specifically building wood cabinetry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Understanding of the cabinet making process from start to finish.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs continuously and stand for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Cabinet design experience using CAD or Solidworks.
• Programming experience with CNC equipment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is a medium-sized job shop where parts for tractor trailers and POP displays are manufactured. Candidates must feel comfortable working around job shop machinery.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
