Title: Bioinformatics Analyst
Location: South San Francisco, CA (Remote)
Duration: 12 months (possible extension)

We are seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst to support drug discovery programs with a strong focus on Cell Therapy therapeutics. This role involves analyzing large genomic datasets and novel NGS assay data to identify potential therapeutic candidates. You will design and execute computational pipelines, apply statistical models, and deliver insights that directly influence project decisions.
This position requires both technical depth in bioinformatics and strong collaboration with wet-lab scientists, engineers, and cross-functional project teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform quality control on sequencing and alignment data to ensure accuracy.
Analyze large-scale genomics and assay datasets for drug discovery insights.
Build, maintain, and optimize scalable and reproducible bioinformatics pipelines.
Develop statistical models and hypothesis tests to interpret complex datasets.
Partner with wet-lab scientists and engineers on study design and data interpretation.
Prepare clear summaries, data packages, and presentations for cross-functional teams.
Contribute to project reports and stakeholder communications.
4 8 years of experience in biostatistics, bioinformatics, or related field.
Strong proficiency in Python ; experience following best practices in software development.
Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS preferred) for large-scale analysis.
Hands-on experience with NGS technologies and biological assays .
Proficiency in Git for version control and reproducibility.
Strong understanding of statistical modeling and hypothesis testing.
Demonstrated experience supporting drug discovery programs in biotech or pharma.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex results to technical and non-technical audiences.
