Job Details Position Overview:
The Associate Attorney will provide legal support in representing community associations, condominium boards, and commercial clients in matters related to general representation, collections, construction-related disputes, covenant enforcement, and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in handling arbitration, lien foreclosures, amendment drafting, and other commercial litigation matters involving real estate, landlord-tenant issues, and construction law.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in representing Condominium and Homeowners Associations in various legal matters, including turnover and construction disputes, covenant enforcement, and lien foreclosures.
Draft and review legal documents such as amendments, covenants, and contracts related to community association governance and real estate transactions.
Handle arbitration cases before the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes.
Provide legal counsel in commercial, real estate, landlord-tenant, and construction litigation matters.
Attend board meetings and ensure compliance with corporate governance for community associations.
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Collaborate with clients to develop strategies and solutions for resolving disputes effectively.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar.
2+ years of experience in condominium and HOA law, construction litigation, or commercial litigation is preferred.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a team environment.
Experience with arbitration, lien foreclosures, or construction disputes is a plus.
