Boutique West Los Angeles AV - rated law firm is looking for an associate with 5 to 7 years of litigation experience for construction, business, and real estate litigation. Salary based on experience. Good benefits and hours. The practice provides for interactions with contractors, architects, builders, and public agencies.

This is not an insurance defense position.

Qualifications:

• Prior firm experience.
• Advocacy skills and confidence with court appearances and client interactions are preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consult with potential new clients to analyze their legal issues and solutions.
• Develop cost-effective case strategies to prosecute and resolve litigation.
• Review, revise, and negotiate contract terms.
• Conduct legal research and draft or respond to legal briefs for civil court.
• Prepare for and attend a wide variety of hearings for law and motion practice.
• Review client documents to prepare productions for discovery.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Prepare trial exhibits, exhibit lists, witness lists, and trial or arbitration briefs.
• Prepare witness outlines for deposition or trial testimony.
• Consult with clients and experts to prepare cases for trial.
• Supervise junior attorneys conducting trials and arbitrations.
