Assistant Men's Soccer Coach Department: Athletics

Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary: All openpositions are Hybrid & On-site, and employees are expected to be on-site as per their approved schedule.
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community,and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. This is apart-time, non-unit position with no benefits.
The assistant coach works in conjunction with the head coachto supervise and develop an intercollegiate varsity team, including in-seasonand off-season programming, in accordance with institutional and departmentalobjectives within the rules and regulations of the athletic governing bodies.
Key Responsibilities and Duties: - Assisthead coach in establishing team goals for season and ensure that they arein line with those of the entire MassBay Athletic program;
- Responsiblefor recruiting and training eligible players, organizing, implementing,coordinating and supervising all aspects of the team sport, and forattending practices and games;
- Responsiblefor knowledge of and adhering to league rules and best practicespertaining to sports techniques, rules, and regulations;
- Communicatedaily with Assistant Director of Athletics regarding season progressionincluding details regarding practices, game results, and playereligibility;
- Distributeand collect all team equipment to players throughout the season;
- Representthe university and team at all appropriate athletic events (e.g.competitions, conferences, and college-sanctioned programs such as openhouses);
- Assistwith game day set-up and breakdown.

- Engage in conversations with colleagues and students regarding best practices within the discipline or programmatic related to equity and inclusion.

Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required
- Experience coaching soccer at a competitive level

Additional Information: Salary Range: $5,000 per season
