Job Description

Acuity is seeking an Actuarial Intern to support various rate change procedures, prepare reports, and enhance existing processes within the Actuarial Department, while acquiring fundamental business knowledge and skills.

Start Date: Summer 2025

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct appropriate research and data collection.
• Summarize analysis and findings with accuracy and proper level of detail.
• Work with others to develop best solutions and accomplish goals.
• Follow department standards and procedures.
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Currently enrolled in a formal University undergraduate degree program pursuing mathematics or actuarial science and possessing high level of achievement, including academic grades. Eligible candidates must be rising sophomores and juniors with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027 to be considered.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous responsibilities demonstrating goal-orientated outcomes and teamwork. Progress toward completion of an Actuarial exam.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Ability and desire to learn various actuarial techniques and procedures.
• Ability and desire to become familiar with company operations, actuarial methodologies and computer systems.
