About the Role Swiss Re Life & Health is looking for bright undergraduate and graduate students who are actively pursuing a career in actuarial science. Our summer internship program is designed to provide students with work assignments and projects that are challenging, educational and promote personal and professional development.

Essential Responsibilities May Include Subsets of the Following: - Responsible for assisting in the creation of pricing models
- Responsible for testing mortality table updates
- Responsible for assisting in the preparation and analysis of mortality and lapse experience data and periodic studies
- Responsible for supporting quarterly valuations and earnings analysis
- Responsible for supporting the maintenance of the reserve valuation system
- Responsible for creating and maintaining portfolio analysis tools and dashboards
Ancillary Responsibilities - Responsible for compliance with the provisions of the Actuarial Development Program, including participation in student luncheons and other educational opportunities
- Develop technical skills with software and systems such as Visual Basic, AXIS, SQL, SAS, R, MSBI, Tableau, LMS, and Stargate
- Responsible for assisting in responses to requests of clients, reinsurance partners, regulators, internal and external auditors, and rating agencies
About You - Requires attention to detail, good organization skills, and the ability to work independently
- Pursuit of degree in math, actuarial sciences, statistics, or similar program
- Prefer initiation of Society of Actuaries exams
- Technical skills using a desktop PC, Excel and Access, including visual basic
For Armonk, the base salary will be $25 per hour, depending on location, qualifications, projected graduation year and/or highest degree held.
