988 Lifeline Call Taker - Overnight Shifts Available ($20/hr) Join our team as a 988 Lifeline Call Taker and provide crucial support to individuals in distress. Starting July 16, 2022, 988 will be a nationwide, 24/7 crisis line connecting callers with trained National Suicide Prevention Lifeline counselors. This part-time role offers overnight shifts at $20/hr, with initial training in our Framingham office and remote work thereafter. Candidates must commit to at least 2 shifts per week and possess the ability to offer empathetic, non-judgmental assistance to callers in crisis. What we are looking for: High school diploma Previous experience in telephone/call-center roles, especially those involving emotional support, is highly preferred Skilled in data gathering techniques Competent with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, databases, and other software systems Ability to remain calm and composed while deescalating crisis situations Must attend training in Framingham, MA Requires a Mac (Google Chrome access) or PC, reliable Wi-Fi, and a headset with a microphone compatible with the computer Must have a quiet workspace for working from home Must be available for at least 2 shifts per week Visit our website to learn more about our openings!
